Hi guys, as we (our school) has got a invitation from the TCS IT Wiz, India's biggest IT quiz for schools and colleges started since 1999s. And this is the third time I'm going and I am in Bangalore. The quiz is being conducted at Chowdiah memorial hall, Gayatri Devi Park extn, Vyalikaval (near sankey tank)
Well we got the invitation yesterday and already started preparing for this quiz, it is being conducted on Monday.13, aug 2012.
Here is the quiz format for 2012 quiz:
Prelim: This would be a common set of 20 questions for all the teams at the venue. Questions would be in the form of oral, visual and audiovisual.
Final: The top six teams from the written prelim would qualify for each regional final. Only the best team from each school will be called on stage in the event of multiple teams from the same school qualifying for the final.
This quiz being conducted by quiz master, Giri Balasubramaniam, also known as pickbrain.
Well in order get to the stage (stage finals) you need to do these.
Refer TCS IT Books provided by them.
TV ads of companies and business (make sure you record the taglines)
Refer Wikipedia.
TV shows (Like the Gadget Guru, etc)
Try to get the trending news of businesses.
Also try referring the previous prelims round question (I have placed a download link of the collection of all prelims conducted in all the states, including that of UAE)

am going to ahmedabad for tcs quiz on 7th august and as i am goinf for the first time i am very nervous... :(
ReplyDeleteTheres nothng to worry, for the first time even I was able to answer only 11 out of 20. But with the grace of god lets hope for both of us a good luck...:)
